Ikebana Demonstration

17th June 2017 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

The Ireland Japan Association invites you to our annual Ikebana demonstration at the wonderful Chester Beatty Library on the grounds of Dublin Castle.

Date: Saturday, 17th June 2017
Time: 12.30 p.m. – 1.30 p.m.

Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, also known as Kado (the way of flowers). Kado is considered one of the three classical Japanese arts of refinement and dates back to the 7th century when floral offerings were made at altars.

The demonstration will be presented by Mrs Tomoko Ozaki, our resident Ikebana instructor.

Ikebana Demonstration is part of the events celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Ireland.
