Welcome to the home page of the Ireland Japan Association. The Association was founded in 1990 and it aims to foster mutual understanding between the peoples of both countries; to provide networking and business opportunities for companies in Ireland and Japan and to encourage and assist in improving the knowledge of the culture of each country within the other.
For the past two years we have successfully organised variety of online and in-person events. In 2023 we will continue to provide an exciting event programme and I would encourage members to fully support these, thus providing them with social, networking and learning opportunities. Full details of the forthcoming events can be found here.
I am delighted to accept the role of Chairperson and look forward to collaborating with the Council to continue to carry out the good work being done to make the IJA a valuable association for its’ members. I wish to also to thank the Council, IJA Members, and H.E. Mr. Norio Maruyama, Ambassador of Japan in Ireland and the Japanese Embassy for their continuing support.
