Japanese Calligraphy Workshop

We are delighted to invite you to Japanese Calligraphy Workshop to learn the ancient wisdom and value of Japanese symbols together with artist, educator and writer Azumi Uchitani.

Unplug from every day’s hustles and bustles, create a state of peace to express yourself, and experience a ritual with a brush and ink on paper!

Date: Saturday, 22nd April 2023
Time: 3 -5 PM (90min workshop followed by 30min tea/coffee break)

Tickets: €20 IJA Members | €30 Non Members
* Your ticket will include workshop materials: paper and ink. Calligraphy brush will be provided to all participants during the time of workshop.
* Places are limited and early booking is advised. 
* Suitable for all age groups.

What to expect during this workshop:
* You will learn basic principles and techniques of calligraphy, including different brush strokes.
* You will have the opportunity to practice body movements and mindful meditation.
* You will be able to express yourself and practice calligraphy on paper with brush and ink.


About Azumi Uchitani
