DESCRIPTION:The 36th Annual General Meeting of the Ireland Japan Association will take place on 3rd March 2026.\n.\nThe AGM is open to all IJA members\, and we encourage your attendance.\nPlease note that only fully paid-up members are eligible to attend and vote at the AGM.\n.\nDate: Tuesday\, 3rd March\, 2026\nTime: 4 p.m.\nIn person: Dillon Eustace\, 33 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay\, Dublin 2\nOnline: A Zoom link will be provided for those registered and wishing to join remotely.\n.\n.\n\n \n. \nPlease find the IJA AGM 2026 Agenda here! \nPlease RSVP by Tuesday\, 24th February 2026 by email: info@ija.ie if you would like to attend the AGM. Please add a note if you will be attending in person or wish to join the meeting remotely via Zoom. \nPlease note that walk-ins will not be accepted on the day\, and prior registration is required. \n. \n\n\nIJA COUNCIL ELECTIONS 2026\n. \nCouncil nominations are now closed\, and we are pleased to confirm that sufficient nominations have been received to meet the constitutional requirements for the roles of IJA Chairperson\, IJA Vice Chairperson\, and the Ordinary Council seats representing Corporate Members. As a result\, these positions will be filled without the need for a vote.\n.\nFor the Ordinary Council seats representing Individual Members\, we have received eight nominations. Accordingly\, the 2026 Council elections will take place via the online voting platform ElectionBuddy\, running from Tuesday\, 17th February to Tuesday\, 24th February.\n.\nEach eligible IJA member has been sent an email on Tuesday\, 17th February\, containing a unique access key for voting. This key can only be used to vote once. Members may cast their vote for their preferred nominees for the Ordinary Council seats representing Individual Members until Tuesday\, 24th February. Please note that all voting choices will remain anonymous.\n\n.\nIMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS\n.\n* The voting link was sent directly from ElectionBuddy on 17.02.2026. If you do not see it in your inbox\, please check your spam/junk folder.\n* Only fully paid-up IJA Individual and Corporate members are eligible to vote.\n* Voting Entitlement – according to Paragraph 10 of the IJA Constitution: Corporate members are entitled to one vote per company\, cast by a designated representative (typically the individual who submitted the membership application on behalf of the company). Family membership holders are limited to one vote per family.\n.\nIf you have any questions or experience any issues with voting\, please do not hesitate to reach out: info@ija.ie\n.\n\n\n\n\nCALL FOR COUNCIL NOMINATIONS\n.\nUpdate: The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2026 Council Elections was on Tuesday\, 3rd February 2026. \n.\nIn accordance with the IJA Constitution\, the Council must comprise a minimum of:\n* 3 Individual Council Members\n* 6 Corporate Member Representatives\n.\nWe invite nominations from members who wish to contribute to the work and governance of the Association. If you wish to volunteer to be nominated as a candidate for the IJA Council\, please do not hesitate to contact the IJA Chairperson\, Vice-Chairperson\, or Secretary.\n.\nNomination forms are circulated to all IJA members via email.\nCompleted nomination forms should be submitted by email to info@ija.ie no later than COB on Tuesday\, 3rd February 2026.\n.\n.
